27 years old Tom Fraser-Holmes from Australia will compete in Arena Helsinki Swim Meet in Helsinki 1–2 April. He is known from Olympic Games finals both in London and Rio. 400 meters individual medley and 200 meters freestyle are his strongest inputs. Now he has a clear view towards Tokyo Olympics 2020.

– My plans for this year are to compete at the entire Nordic tour, finishing in Stockholm. I will then head home to the Gold Coast to prepare for our World Championship trials in Brisbane in June, Hopefully I will be successful enough to be selected onto the Australian Swim Team to compete in Gwangju which will be the main focus for 2019, after the World Championships I am planning to compete at majority of the World Cup stops, Fraser-Holmes stated.

He was part of the 19-swimmer team from Australia at World Short Course Championships in Hangzhou two months ago. He earned his first individual WC medal.

– Hangzhou was a very successful meet for myself picking up a silver medal in the Men’s 400IM, I was very happy with the result.

He has visited in Sweden several times as his partner Jessica Eriksson is from Stockholm. But this will be his debut in Finland and he might have heard that Finns are the people with the highest consumption of coffee in the world.

– I am very much looking forward to visiting Finland and seeing a different part of the world. I really enjoy drinking coffee so I am really excited to try and find the best coffee in Helsinki in my down time from swimming.
