Sjöström leads Swedish trio to Helsinki!
Three swimmers from Swedish National Team will race in Arena Helsinki Swim Meet in April. Sarah Sjöström, Michelle Coleman and Erik Persson are signed in for the meet.
Sjöström is the most decorated of them, Olympic champion from Rio and ten times World champion added with world record times in five distances. Still it will be a debut for her in Helsinki, so she was excited:
– I have never raced in Finland, not even visited. Only once a short term drop-in Helsinki on a cruise, Sjöström told.
Michelle Coleman is a Swedish record holder in backstroke, although she is strong also in freestyle. She has two European bronze medals in these strokes. Her PB in 100m backstroke is the very same as Finnish national record held by Mimosa Jallow (1:00.28).
As well as Sjöström and Coleman, Erik Persson is 25 years old national record holder from Sweden. This breaststroker is a double finalist on 200 meters from last year, Europeans in Glasgow and Worlds in Hangzhou.
